Need advice on building a speaker cabinet?
I have 2 x 10" speakers and 2 x 4" speakers that I removed from some old stereo equipment. I would like to make a speaker cabinet for bass/guitar using Speaker Cabinets these. The speakers are hooked up with the spring jacks in the back (+,-). I will need my cab to have the standard 1/4" jack. I can do some new wiring if need be but I don't really know where to start. I have looked at parts and may have a general idea of how it fits together but is it really as simple as connecting the speakers to the 1/4" jack? Someone please help.

I would stick with the guitar cab if you are planning on playing guitar through the amp.I would highly recommend investing in a real guitar head amp at some point. That combo amp is not really designed to power a big cab like that to high volume levels.Your amp can handle as low as 4 ohms total. That means you will set the cab up for 4 ohms. Just connect one output on the amp to the cab with a 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch speaker cable (not guitar cable).
i would buy a half sheet of sanded 3/4 plywood. i would use glue and dowels and some bar clamps to squeeze it all together. most hardware stores sell half sheets. and they carry a doweling kit that comes with all the stuff you need to do a good job. you just need a regular drill. when done this way it always looks so much better. i made a bench in high school wood shop this way and it is still as strong as the day i made it, over thirty years ago. take your time and good luck
