how does a digitech rp 1000 stack up to the boss me-50?
i have the boss me-50 now, abd its a pretty good pedal 4 starters. but it has some shady spots. the Boss Digitech wah isnt that great, the threshold which is kinda like a noise gate doesnt really work. and it gives a lot of bad feedback and the sound quality is a little iffy! i want to know how the digitech compare! think about every aspect of the pedals and comparewhich has more and better effects n tones, stuff like that!

You might just want to stick with a plain old distortion pedal, like a Boss ODB-3. Anything more and you’re going to lose your tone and your bass will sound like a bad of mud. The key to effect on bass is not too much. Best yet, go to your local music store and try some effects out. I’ve found that that either pedal you mention loses the bottom end. It’s called a bass because of the bass.
Yep, rock solid and work brilliantly. I’ve been using a Boss ME50 live for the last 2 years and had no problems whatsoever, the GT10 is just a little different in spec. You’d do well with it

No way, don’t go with the Jam Man. I’ve been using loop stations for the last 3 years. I got the Jam Man when it first came out. And it’s not good. There is a slight delay with recording. That is, it doesn’t stop / start right when you hit the pedal, there’s like a .0003 mm sec delay. KT Tunstall uses the Head Rush pedal, which is cool, but it doesn’t have as many capabilities as Boss. The DL4 by Line 6 is cool. But it’s primary purpose is the delay effect, so again not as many options as the Boss pedals.I’d recommend the Boss RC-50. Although It’s $500. It is incredible when it comes to looping. It’s basically 3 loop stations in one. You can record, overdub, undo, add drum beats, connect midi, run mic and guitar, fade in and fade out on different phases, control inputs / outputs, etc. The thing is loaded.http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RC50/If you can’t afford that. Then go with the Boss RC20-XL. The RC20 doesn’t have undo. Which is a terrible thing not to have when practicing. The 20XL has all the features of the 50, but it doesn’t have 3 separate phrases.
