How can I use my home recording studio as a business producing jingles for companies advertisements?
Me and my buddy have had success recording country demos for our friends around town and it sounds great! Just wishing i could do this more so I'm looking into getting into the market of producing music for Presonus Studiolive businesses needing background music in their radio commercials. I guess those would be called jingles? I have a imac, cubase 5, presonus studiolive, and I have plenty of musicians I can hire to come up with the jingles. I myself will do the bass, drums, engineering, mixing, background vocals. Who do I talk to, what requirements are there (unmastered, mastered, certain output level). What prebroadcast standards must be addressed before considering the recording a finished product? What do I charge, what can I expect, what about competition?
