How do I get a monitor signal from a guitar amp?
I've been asked to do percussion for a guitar/vocal duo and I was already Mini Mixer thinking about employing a mini mixer to monitor the percussion (not put it through the PA) but I will need to hear what the guitar is doing. How can I get a auxiliary signal from a guitar amp without affecting the FOH sound?

My first question would be…what is your budget? There are some “DJ in a Box” systems out there:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Stanton-DJLab.2-DJ-Pack?sku=804028You will still need some speakers and stands:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Behringer-EUROLIVE-B215A-Active-2Way-Loudspeaker?sku=600734http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/OnStage-Stands-SSP7855-Professional-Steel-Speaker-Stand-Pak?sku=450458This is a very basic system and it has already added up to over $800 US.
