depends what kind of speakers you have, if you have powered PA speakers, they have amplifiers built into them. if you have other kinds, then you need an amplifier. mixers have nothing to do with that, only the speakers do
From the way I understand your question, then the answer will be no. The left and right in on those channels will not maintain stereo configuration at the mains out (where you will be going to your recording medium, like your PC/audio interface).If you want stereo you will need to use two channels on the mixer 1 and 2, or 3 and 4. If you use 3 and four, you will probably go in at the L insert on both. Then you pan one channel hard left and the other hard right. Now you will have the signal coming out in stereo, on in the L mains out only, the other in R mains only.
you can buy programs to get drums into your mix. the samples will be shitty if you buy a cheap program. i’ve heard “drumagog” is good. this way will probably be the cheapest for you. keyboard samples are usually pretty whack. buying a program and using it will offer better samples. the really high end stuff will be the best because they really put a lot into recording the samples. if you spend $500 on the program chances are there are tons upon tons of samples of each piece of the kit as well as different mics. the cheap ones wont be as good because they wont go into all of the work. read some reviews and see what people think on sites like guitarcenter.com or sweetwater.comyou may be able to find someone with a kit and you can record your own samples of them using it. the quality will only be as good as you make it though. so if you are using a cheap crappy mic, than you will get a cheap crappy sound.getting a midi controller wont do anything unless you have a good sound bank.

Yes, you can plug your ipod into the mixer. No, it will not remove tracks. You get the whole song or nothing. To plug it in, you need to get a cable that goes from the 3.5mm headphone plug to the 1/4″ input jack like the ones on every channel on the mixer. The simplest way is probably to get a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable, the on one end get the 3.5mm female to 1/4″ male adapter. Plug it into the headphone jack on the ipod and the mixer on the other end and make turn it up. Make sure the ipod volume is turned up to about 3/4 to get a good level.
You can use the mixer but it is not really an audio interface. An audio interface converts analog signals (mics and instruments) to a digital signal – usually USB. What kind of recorder do you have?I think you would use the S/PDIF tape out, that’s if your recorder has S/PDIF inserts. If not use the 1/4 main out if you want to record it as one track.Unless you are connecting outboard effects/processors there is really no point in getting a mixer, unless your mixer can’t record multiple inputs at once.
There could be a few things going on.The first step is to adjust the “trim” or “gain” knob (the knob nearest the mic connector) so that you are lighting up the “peak” lights only on signal peaks. You will have to adjust each channel trim individually.After that the rest is pretty easy – make sure the individual channel knob or fader is up at zero db and make sure the output master knob or fader is up to zero db. You should be getting a really good level out of the mixer at this point. You may need to back off the input level on the Boss but only enough so that it does not clip. You should record at a really good level just below clipping – that will ensure that you will have the loudest signal possible with the least noise.
