Yes, that will work but I think the maudio unit uses 1/4 inch inputs – if so, all you need is two of these 1/4 to RCA adapters and a set of normal red/white cables:http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062455&cp=
Hi Nick, Am not much of an expert myself with recording but here’s how I’d do it. Connect all the mics that you’re recording, into your mixer. The main out of your mixer into the Input of your recording interface. The USB of the interface into your computer. And the output of your interface (which will also play the play-back from your computer) to your monitors or speakers. That would mean connecting your headphones (if you are using any) into your interface and not into your mixer.I, personally, would not connect the EQ when recording. That’s because whatever the EQ does, I can do more accurately on the computer. Plus, EQ’s applied on your DAW are undo-able, whereas once you EQ before recording, you cannot undo it after it’s recorded. If you MUST use the EQ for any reason just because you have it, you could use it for any of the following:1) As an insert on any ONEchannel of your mixer (or 2 channels if it’s a stereo EQ). That is, to fine tune the frequencies of the vocals mic, or of the kick drum, or of your drum-overhead mic.2) In between your mixer line-out and the the sound interface. However, this would make sense only if it’s a stereo EQ. But remember – any EQ you change at this stage, you WILL NOT be able to undo after recording. So best not to use the EQ, or use it just for (1).
no, it’s a mixer, and an audio interface. if you’re looking for a tube preamp by behringer, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KUENNU is the most versatile one they make.
You will need a audio interface to communicate with computer. Outputs from the mixer to the interface, interface connects to the computer via usb or firewire. Audio/midi interfaces are priced anywhere from $39.99 to $1,000.00’s of dollars. The choice depends on how much money you are willing to spend. Try http://www.zzounds.com
