In case you need some more details, here is a full description and review of Vhf Wireless:
In this review of Vhf Wireless, I am going to show you both the good and the bad. After all, what is a review without some honesty, right? First, I have to tell you upfront that Vhf Wireless is my favorite choice. Sure, there are other products in the same class, but frankly, none of them as good (in terms of quality). I do have to say this though. some other products may be better, but based on quality and price, Vhf Wireless is the clear winner.
anyone know anything about wireless guitar systems?
i need a quality wireless guitar system, but im on a budget. i did some research and i found a couple that are both pretty Vhf Wireless cheap and seem like they would get the job done. tell me (if you think you know) which one is better.Nady DKW3GT Guitar and Bass Wireless Systemhttp://www.zzounds.com/item--NDYDKW3GTSamson Stage 5T Three In One VHF Wireless Systemhttp://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-SAM-SW05SGLHIm leaning more toward the samson, but what do you think. A very good question. I got one of those boxes the other day. It doesn’t work. I SAY AGAIN, it doesn’t work. Next, I will purchase a better antenna, although the one I use now gets PBS, NBC, ABC, CW, CBS, and that independent station that runs Lost, Monk, and some other older shows. The box does not pick up these stations. Wonderful. Someone is making money (a lot of money) on this debacle. Cable, here I come………eventually. Hey, maybe there’s a camera in all of those receivers. I’ve given them the paranoid finger already.
TiTou. I have to be honest and first mention that I haven’t really given this matter the thought it requires. Once I heard my TV reception would improve, nothing else seemed to matter. But obviously, whenever our government is involved there is always something more to the story.I had no idea that it could compromise our civil defense broadcasts, but most disturbingly- power outage=dysfunctional converter box=no TV !!!!!!! = dire emotional distress!!! I would hope somebody is designing a portable converter (to go with a battery powered TV). There is something magical about watching Dancing with the Stars while camping in the Grand Tetons. With fewer and fewer transistor radios in the field my suggestion is that we concentrate on the infrastructure and logistically build bell towers throughout the country. Our forefathers heard the patriotic peel(e.g., “oneth by land twoeth by sea”). Perhaps we should return to those tried and true methods when life was simple, direct and analogue. I know there are many that would criticize this idea assuming that I haven’t paused to consider the complicated need of learning an entirely need code of emergencies (e.g., one bell ring = fire in the town hall, 2 peels= tornado, 3 peels = aliens, 4 peels= discovered governmental corruption, etc.). But, for those of us who may be code-challenged (and one of my many challenges), I offer the suggestion of supplementing with a Town Crier!Whether we are forced to embrace this new Digital Age or not, I think a Town Crier makes sense , although if pressed, I would have to admit that I don’t know why.:-)
I personally hate wireless but the one that I did use for a little while was the “Bug”. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Live/Sound/Microphones/Wireless?sku=271166It sounded as good as a wireless unit could although I have to tell you I’m back to using a cord now.
