Is it ok to take this combination of vitamins and herbs?
OK, in the morning, I take a Noni pill, just that because your supposed to take it on an empty stomach. About 30 minutes later, I eat and then take a:50 mg 5 HTP, 300 mg ST. Johns Wort, 500 mg Passion Multi Pattern Flower, a multi vitamin, and two 1605 mg valerian root.Than at night I take another 50 mg 5 HTP, St. Johns, Valerian, Passion Flower and about 800 mcg of melatonin to get a better sleeping pattern.I take all this to slow down my central nervous system and just started taking them two days ago. Is that safe since they are all herbs and vitamins? Thanks for taking the time to read this and provide your honest opinion.I take them for anxiety by the way.Have any of these helped you in any experinece?

All cells use the same basic chemistry – no matter how different they may appear to be.However, that does not mean that all living things are the same. The cells of many organisms have become quite different from one another. The reason they are different is that they have different functions to perform – they have become specialized or specially suited to their individual functions.

Nick, Both possibilities exist. Though there is a most common type of breast cancer (”infiltrating ductal carcinoma”) there are several other types, each with a somewhat different cause. Some are definitely related to a type of breast cancer gene while others have not yet been found due to a specific single gene. Gene testing is now possible, and often done in persons with strong family histories of breast cancer. Other factors also may be involved such as body hormonal levels,

The noni and the multivitamin should be ok.Why, however, are you taking all of the others together like that? They are all used for similar problems, so they shouldn’t and don’t need to be used together. If it starts to work, how will you know what exactly is working? It’s best to start small and find out what works for you and what doesn’t so you won’t be wasting your money on excess items that you don’t need. I would start by trying one of the products and adjust the amount if it’s not working right away to see if it helps or not. If that doesn’t work then move on to the others one by one.Personally I would go with the 5HTP first, it works pretty well for me. I am currently taking 50mg twice a day for a facial nerve problem. Depending on your multivitamin you may also want to add an extra calcium/magnesium/vit d as those minerals can help relaxing as well (just make sure the calcium is calcium citrate and total vit d intake doesn’t go over 600-800 IU a day, unless you know your vit d is really low). Also, try to eat a balanced diet including lots of vegetables and fruits. Just because items are vitamins and herbs does not mean they are good for you in any amount you choose. Vitamins, minerals and herbs really don’t get the respect they deserve. They are very powerful and are very important to our bodies and can actually have side effects. You can overdose. Of course typically an overdose wouldn’t usually be as bad or irreversable as a pharmaceutical overdose but still, before taking anything you should research the item to make sure that is what you want and to see what the recommended dose is. Moderation is the key, just because something is good for you doesn’t mean a million of that something is better.Best of luck!

A weight gainer should be taken immediately following your lifting workout. But that does NOT mean it should be your main source of protein throughout the day. When gaining, it’s very important to supplement with large amounts of protein…when I was in my gaining routine, I’d take in about 150-200g of protein a day…50g from my gainer after workout, and for breakfast I’d eat eggs, and I’d have tuna straight out of the can once a day (very good, cheap protein), and I’d try to eat some chicken or steak for dinner. As far as taking everything else, you’re doing it at the right times.

On some patterns, they leave you to change the colors as you like. Generally, it’s only real beginners’ patterns and the highly intricate advanced patterns that need to indicate this. Many average patterns don’t bother. See where you would work it in if it were listed. Can you manage? If not, contact the pattern company.

Cast on 4 sts.*Knit 1, slip 1, knit 1, slip 1, turn at end of row* repeat once.*YO, knit 1, YO, slip 1, YO, knit 1, YO, slip 1, turn at end of row* and it gets worse from there. It is possible to knit from the center out with just two needles (as the ends of a circular), increasing 8 stitches (2 at each corner) every other round, knitting YO’s and the stitches that look like knit and slipping the stitches that look like purls. I don’t recommend the hassle unless you just want to prove to yourself that you can do.It is much, much easier to just use 5 double-pointed needles to begin and then, when the needles have filled, continue on the circular needle. Whatever, you’ll be increasing two stitches at each corner every other round.

  11. kirchwey says:

A single-slit pattern is simple diffraction, while multiple-slit (including two-slit) patterns combine diffraction and interference patterns; that is, the diffraction envelope (a broad central peak with successively smaller outer peaks) amplitude-modulates the interference pattern, which by itself is relatively constant-amplitude with more closely-spaced peaks. See the refs. The difference in peak spacing is due to the ratio of slit spacing to slit width. Slit width determines the width of the broad central peak of the diffraction pattern and the distance between successive diffraction minima, in which a relatively large angular displacement from center is needed to produce a one-wavelength path length difference from the sides of the slit. A smaller angle produces a one-wavelength path length difference for interference from light passing through two adjacent slits, because the slit spacing is usually several times the slit width. This smaller angle is the spacing between successive interference maxima.

  12. thejanith says:

Simple answer first: yes, you can easily adjust the length of a top. If it’s a straight cut, just add the desired amount to the bottom. If the cut isn’t straight, add the length at the waist. Cut your pattern there (all pieces that deal with that area) and tape some tissue paper in to make the whole thing the right length. (If it’s 2″ too short, add 2″ of tissue paper.) Some patterns even give lengthen/shorten lines. That will be two horizontal lines set very close. Cut between them. For using a multi-size pattern again for a different size, get tissue paper and tape it together to make a piece as big as your pattern piece. (If it’s a kids’ pattern, just use a single sheet of tissue paper, of course.) Trace the size you want onto the tissue paper and cut that out instead. Transfer any applicable markings so you won’t get lost.

I can’t identify exactly what the pattern is for the hat she is wearing. The color changes in the yarn make it hard to see the stitches. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was specially made for her. The other thing to consider is that the hat might not be made out of wool. It could be made out of cotton or even acrylic or some other type of blend. It could also be knitted. I couldn’t find anything on the internet that indicates what the hat’s made from, the type of yarn or anything else like that.It does look like a striped yarn, meaning the color changes in it are not as close together. If you can’t find the colors or the yarn that you want, you might be able to find someone to dye a wool blend yarn for you in those colors, but it will be expensive. Etsy.com has tons of people who sell handspun yarn. Someone there could also have something you like.http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=wool+yarn&search_type=tag_title&order=&min=&max=&page=1Here are some slouchy hat crochet patterns that can produce a similar effect when worked in a striped yarn like the first answerer suggested. I highly doubt the pattern that was used for Kate Hudson’s hat is listed for free online.http://jaybirddesigns.blogspot.com/2008/08/august-free-pattern-retro-rings-tam.htmlhttp://jessicasuzanne.com/craftypants/2007/09/13/pretty-puffs-slouchy-hat-with-pattern/http://croshaydesign.blogspot.com/2007/08/crocheted-slouchy-beret.html
