I’ve searched all through Musician’s Friend and did numerous searches on Google, but can’t find the microphone anywhere. It is possible that they had those microphones custom made, or they could even be fake microphones that are just for show. They don’t actually use any sound from the video recording to make the actual music video. Instead they sync it up with the studio-recorded music track.
“Josh” is correct. The lapel mics are also called “Lavaliere mic”. The ONLY ones I can recommend are made by Shure, Sennheiser, Audio Technica… and a few others. The *best* way to do what you want is also the most expensive way. Using wireless lavalieres. UHF. Anything less and you risk picking up interference and ruining the video. The clip-on mic connects with a thin wire to a battery powered body pack. The body pack connects wirelessly to the camcorder or mixer. The mixer is connected with a wire to the camcorder… or the base stations can be connected to an audio field recorder (like a Zoom H4).I know of no “cheap but good quality” equipment. Good quality costs.
Not recommended.Sell the one you have and buy a camcorder that meets your needs.
