Any USB mic will work. I use Band Hero Wii mic for Guitar Hero Metallica on PS2.

There are literally dozens of adapter devices and cross-over connectors to do almost anything one needs to do with mikes and amps !! You should even be able to make this system carry a wireless mike signal with the right adapter and a wireless system !!Go to your nearest music store and talk to the people there —most of the time they will have people on hand that work with this sort of thing absolutely every day of the week and they should be able to find the right connectors AND make suggestions for other options without a problem one !!!

► that depends on what exactly you want to do with it► if you just want to “patch” the game audio output to the computer and maybe record it – then you’ll have to buy some adapters and cables► if you want to use it directly with out the PS2 it probably ain’t gonna happen without using some expensive equipment like a mixing board

NO. The range is determined by the diameter of the reflector. There is exactly one focal point. Moving the microphone anywhere other than the focal point simply cause it to “lose focus” and become LESS sensitive. Think the reflector in a flashlight and how the light beam changes as you move he filament away from he focal point. The same applies to reflected sound. You can approximate the focal point using mirrors. Use a paper punch and make dots from aluminum foil. Stick sever scattered all over he surface of the reflector, shiny side out. Then point the reflector at a bright light. Use something like a wooden spoon. What you see if you do it right are spots of light on the spoon. Move the spoon around and the dots will converge into one when you are at the focal point. Mark the distance. You want to put the active element in the microphone at that spot facing into the reflector. There IS a way to use math to calculate where the focal point is, but I have forgotten how to do it. Besides, the mirrors and dots method is more fun and visually illustrates what happens with the sound when it is reflected into the microphone.Edit: I just could not get this out of my miond, so I dug out my radio amateur’s handbook and looked it up for a parabolic antenna. Here is what I found:D is the diameter of the dish, d is the depth of the dish and f is the focal distance. The points (D/2,d) and (-D/2,d) are on the parabola, henced = (D/2)^2 / 4fWhich gives a relationship between the diameter D, the depth d and the focal distance f of the dish.f = D^2 / 16dThe above formula helps in positioning the feed of the parabolic antennas as it gives the focal distance f. Of course in practice the shape of the dish is not a perfect parabola and therefore small adjustments are needed when positioning the feed. Using you 12″ and 5″, I get f = 12^2/16*5 = 144/80 = 1.8″ which sound wrong, too close to the reflector. I expected the focal point to be at 5″ or more. But the math does not lie, so 1.8″ it is!

No… Not only does the HC52 not have a mic jack, but it does not have the Sony Active Interface Shoe, either – no external mic use is possible.
