Here are the top picks on for Drum Loops:

Program to create original drum loops?
Ive been using Aucacity and Drum Loops Acid Express to mix my tracks, but i would like a program where i can create my own drum loops instead of downloading them, any ideas?

  2. Rob H says:

pick up any new digitech RP pedal…they have a drum machine built right in…and they are decent and are reasonably priced…check em out

  4. Griffin says:

To sync drum loops, drum machine, or what ever you need to go in your manual of your multitrack on midi and syncing. If you are using a computer as where your loops are you will need a midi interface. If your using a drum machine for your loops then you will need midi cables and make the recorder the master and the drum machine the slave. That way they will start and stop at the same time. midi track 10 is for drum. 2 midi cables – midi in and midi out. It’s on the back of your tascam and drum machine.

http://www.vstclub.comHit up the forum. They have tons of torrent, rapidshare, rar, etc. links for very professional programs and/or drum packs. You need to sign up to view the download links though. BUT it is worth it. Trust me. I’ve been getting all my producing stuff from the guys there and they havn’t let me down once.

first things first:you DO have a mixer in your rack, right?it might sound stupid, but a lot of people forget about the mixer.else, any number of things could be happening.from what you wrote, it sounds like you have a dr.rex and a redrum (your “drum patch”) in your rack. the redrum accepts octave c-1 for notes, c0 for mutes (or solos?) and c1 for solos (or mutes?) whereas the dr.rex assigns key d0 to play the entire loop, some keys (cant remember which) to transpose, and the rest just map to the individual slices.you might also want to check which device has midi focus (the keyboard indicator icon, on the sequencer window) since it might be as simple as the wrong instrument picking up midi data.

Here’s an old but good drum loop and mixer. Very small in file size and easy to use. Enjoy! :-) Download:http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Mixers-Synthesizers/MicroKit.shtmlAlternate download:http://www.gazup.com/JZM6u-microkit.zip-download-mirrors/

The best drum sampling program is Reason, see if you can torrent it. But it still sucks compared to the real thing.

  14. dalcun says:

Yes its absolutely fine, as long as you aren’t sampling form a commercial song (in which case you or your record company would have to go through clearing the sample for use). There are many sites out there offering free and for sale original royalty free beats for just this purpose.

Go to wikipedia and look up the Linn LM1 drum machine. At the botton are links for the wave files which you can put into any simple music sequencer that takes wave files, and create pro-quality drum tracks. The LM1 was the machine used by every professional in the 1980s, like Prince, Genesis, Human League..etc etc. Sounds great.

To the other answerer, why did you bother to waste time writing that to raise your number of answered questions? What an asshole. Anyway to the person looking for drum loops check out Betamonkey software or what I use is called Toontrack Drumkit From Hell, now keep in mind most shit you find is going to sound just that…shitty, you have to EQ and compress things properly yourself. Good luck to you and if you are wondering about the “free” part of things go to google and find some torrents! you need help with that too just let me know. Note: betamonkey’s double bass mania 2 sounds like whore shit but you can check out 3 and I cant find it in torrents but for 33 bucks I would buy it cause it sounds fucking sick!!! Hail to dark metal and all those who further it! m/
