Overall, the Digital Recorder was great, and I have no problem recommending Digital Recorder for anyone wanting one. LOVE THIS Digital Recorder
What digital voice recorder is compatible with Mac?
I want to document my upcoming travels in Italy with a digital voice recorder instead of Digital Recorder keeping a written journal. I read that Sony brand recorders are not compatible with Macintosh systems. (I have a MacBook.) I am looking at an Olympus model, VN-4100, but I cannot verify if I can link it to my macbook. All guidance on this matter is greatly appreciated!

It doesn’t have to be a Panasonic charger – it just need to have the right voltage and polarity. Take the camcorder along to an electronics shop and they should be able to provide a suitable one.
It should have about 5 to 6 hours of backup so that you could at least save a day of all your lectures and revise it when you get home in the evening.
My Sony digital recorder came with a program, and when I insert it with the USB port, it just uploads to the computer. I then can manipulate it, name it, etc.
Why not just use a microphone. Record the voice onto your hard drive, and then burn a new CDr from the hard drive. Make things simple. All you need is a microphone for your computer, you do not need any software, Windows sound recorder is already there for recording. I assume your computer has a CD burner in it, so you are about ready to do this.
