In case you need some more details, here is a full description and review of Audio Midi:
In this review of Audio Midi, I am going to show you both the good and the bad. After all, what is a review without some honesty, right? First, I have to tell you upfront that Audio Midi is my favorite choice. Sure, there are other products in the same class, but frankly, none of them as good (in terms of quality). I do have to say this though. some other products may be better, but based on quality and price, Audio Midi is the clear winner.
How to change your MIDI audio settings on vista ?
I'm pretty sure i have a driver installed Audio Midi for it, I'm trying to play my electric drums through a soundboard onto the PC with a midi cable but I'm having no luck at all.I have the ua-4fx soundboard thingy.

No, you cant! You can only Transmit/Receive note/signal by midi port/cable.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_Instrument_Digital_Interface
In Pro Tools 9: yes, in Pro Tools 8: no. Pro Tools 8 requires the use of an M-Audio or DigiDesign/Avid interface. 9 requires no interface at all.-KDecka
Digidesign Pro tools 7 its awesome.
format factory does this plus a ton of stuff$0.00
It should work. Just make sure that the MIDI IN setting on Session is set to the USB device. Also, I recommend getting something like other than Session, like Ableton Live LE, Reason, and Cubase Essential are all great solutions, most of them are much cheaper than their big brothers too.
Create a new audio track. Set the input as an unused bus (lets say bus 1.) Set the output of your midi aux track to bus 1. Arm the audio track and record. Should work.
