How to unstop a slow sink drain?
I have a sink in my bathroom that is slow draining. I have used liquid plumber, removed the p trap, and used a snake. The slow drain doesn't drain any faster. I can Insert Snake insert the snake about 4 feet into the drain. Any ideas? Could a bad p trap install cause this problem? Nothing seems stopped up.I just bought my house. it's old but it looks like the sink was a new install. Could the problem be the P trap is not installed correctly? The p trap ties into a straight piece of pipe for about 18 inches no slop. Could a bad pipe install cause this problem?

Usually in the bathroom sink and also tub/shower, hair falls off as you wash/bathe and even though you remove the P Trap, if you are still experiencing slow draining, then I would remove the pop-up and stick/swirl something long & thin with a piece of paper towel or an old rag wrapped to it down the pipe directly below to pickup all the nasty crud that has built up and accumulated inside the pipe…Hope the Above Info Helps!
