Ok, let us first start with a review of Plug Adapter:

I was impressed with Plug Adapter plain and simple. When I placed my order, I had in in my hands within 3 days and the price was great. The key is looking for a seller with over a 100 feedback rating on Ebay. I’ve even included the top Ebay listings to Plug Adapter in this review to make it even easier on you.

Is it safe to plug a power strip into an outlet adapter?
I'll be studying Plug Adapter abroad in a different country. I bought a plug adapter but is it safe for me to plug a power strip/surge protector into the adapter?

If the adaptor is double insulated, then converting the three pins to two pins will work fine and safely. Most (if not all) laptop adaptors are anyway, as laptops use low voltages, so there is no need for any grounding.

Wel, It doesnot damage immediately…. but the coil life in the adapter definitely gets reduced due to constant flow of electric charge. But no one seems to worry about it… all the adapters in my office are plugged and the other ends are left open for anyone to connect their laptop. So the choice is urs… its always better not to leave a LIVE end open.

In the “automotive section” at Wal-Mart. We just recently bought a double-adapter. If you need to plug-in 3 different things (and if they don’t have a triple-adapter), you could buy two of the double-adapters and plug one into the other — which would leave you with 3 plugs.
