My guess is mostly no.In otherwords, if you get one of those Y adapaters that’s labeled AUDIO IN / AUDIO OUT (MICROPHONE / SPEAKER) then yes, it should work.Otherwise, I’m afraid you’d likely generate a horrible squelch similar to pointing two speakers towards each other. An expensive work around is the Turtle brand headset … the low budget work around is a 2.5mm handsfree set from a cell phone. Lots of people got these for free and discarded or ignored in place of a bluetooth version. Good luck

cheap way=if you have an older comp with a speaker jack then you can buy an adapter to plug into the compbest way=toneport ux2 interface, cost about$100 but has every thing you need to record drums, guitar, bass, vocals, keyboard.you will also need a recording program-mixcraft is free a fileplanet.but you should get cubebase se its also $100 but its worth the sound quality.

The NT1A is a condenser mic, so it needs phantom power to run. The USB-XLR you showed says “Power supply via USB interface,” but I’d want to make sure it really MEANS 48v Phantom Power, or you’ll get nothing. Other than that, you need some software (Audacity is free and very good) and you’re good to go!

AKG makes great mics but do does Shure, MXL, Neumann, Audio Technica and many others. I personally prefer Audio Technica – their mics last forever and sound great:http://www.zzounds.com/item–AUTAT4040SM

http://www.screamingbee.comdownload morphvox junior/classic if you want a free softwarebut the morphvox pro is the best, and you must pay for it. or you just can try the free trial of morphvox pro

It will NOT effect the quality of the signal or the balanced properties of the cable by any detectable amount. You can run balanced lines for hundreds of feet with little or no loss in quality. It is better to use one cable of the apropriate length if possible though because if you use an extension cable, you are adding one more set of connectors to the cable. It just takes away a bit of reliability.

The preamp, will improve the sound.

As an engineer, I would start based on vocal style and application rather than range. Are you a screaming, spitting metal head looking for a stage mic? Look for a quality dynamic like the Shure SM or Beta 58, EV N/D series or Audix OM series. No reason you can’t record with these — I have.If you’re more smooth, look for a good handheld (for stage)condenser like the Shure SM86 or Beta 87, AudioTechnica AE5400, Audix VX10 or Sennheiser e865. The Shure KSM 9 is king, but also the priciest. In the studio, it’s easier because you can try a number of mics and choose what sounds best — ultimately that’s the deciding factor. Sing a verse and chorus and then listen.

It won’t be very loud those speakers are only 5 watts that is not very much, even the cheapest PA amps have about 35 Watts Per channel some have like 250 watts…per channel and more…

If you have that much money to spend, I would not get a USB mic. I would get a standard condenser mic and a USB audio interface with phantom power:http://www.zzounds.com/item–TASUS122MKIIhttp://www.zzounds.com/item–MSEMXLV67G

I don’t know of any such adapter.Use a microphone that is compatible with the camcorder without an adapter.

dont get a an xlr to 1/4 unless you absolutely have to, theyre unbalanced and a waste of money. get a female to male xlr of whatever length you need, they are cheap herehttp://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Musicians-Gear-Low-Z-Microphone-Cable-XLR?sku=361707that will plug into 99% of anything you plug a vocal mic into

Wow! I just looked at the owners manual and other stuff on their website and the type of USB cable is not mentioned anywhere. My best guess would be that it is the square type that you see on printers not the flat type you see on a computer but your best bet is to just call or e-mail Samson:http://www.samsontech.com/main/misc.cfm?pageID=6You can also tell by looking at the connector – the B type is shaped like a letter D and the other type is flat like on your computer.See:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USB.svg

You are on the right track! SHURE makes a great product, but don’t spend alot of money you don’t have to. I think that if you buy the…Shure beta 58 mic, you will be very satisfied.

unless it is a really strange CB, almost all Japanese CB’s use the same 4 pin mic connector. They DO NOT USE THE SAME PIN CONFIGURATION!Before you plug a Midland mic into the Cobra CB, you need to make sure the connections are the same

  17. HyenA says:

use audacity. its amazing, and usually right at the top you can click a drop-down box and itll say “stereo mix” and you can record from there. if not, and youre on a laptop or can change your recording settings from the desktop, go to your volume mixer under recording devices and enable “stereo mix”. email me if you need help (i think my email is in my profile)

Ok first of all apple has designed their devices and products to be compatible for one another, thus answering your question you will need the official apple microphone earphones for it to work. second of all the apple earphones will support both input and output so you can talk and hear at the same time whereas most market microphones will only support input.Hope that answers your question ;)

you should be able to..I wouldn’t necassarily try it with the VCR though. And no, it can’t harm your CPU at all.Central Processing Unit=CPU.If the CPU can’t handle a process your trying to do, or a process it doesn’t understand, it freezes up…therefore no damage can be done.So don’t worry about doing any damage to your computer.I don’t really know a whole lot about this particular field, but i’de say go for it.. Nothing can really happen, as long as you know where everything plugs in and have a general idea of how to record, and which file formats are the best/easiest to use..mp3 format i find to be the most standard and easy to use. (so long as it’s only audio your trying to record)
