Yes, it is that easy. Morrison is not much of a role model since he is dead. I think he rubbed against anything and anybody.

It proved in front of the camera that Kanye is a tool and thinks he controls the music world. I’m hoping people stop buying his CD’s and finally shut him up. If a white guy snatched the microphone from Beyonce, this thing would be huge this morning. He’s a pig.

The 319 can be used live, and sax is probably the best application of the instruments you’re micing. The main thing to concern yourself with is that it’s a very sensitive mic, so you have to watch the input gain to avoid clipping, and you probably need to roll off some of the low end or you might get a nasty low-end feedback. Don’t forget to turn on the phantom power.

Linda – If you really are jumping around, it sounds like you need a wireless headset mic:http://www.zzounds.com/item–AUTATW701H92THhttp://www.zzounds.com/item–AUTATW2192TH

You don’t really give enough specifics to give a proper answer, but if the stage is small, you might be able to get a reasonable good signal with a pair of condenser microphones set up in an x/y or ORTF stereo configuration (preferably hung in front of and slightly above the stage). As long as the stage is small, and there isn’t too much movement, you should get a decent – if not exactly great – coverage soundwise. Cheers,Arne S.

I don’t know of many places like that. You may want to just record her with minus tracks on your computer. See this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiH7j9VXm5M You can get the minus tracks at singprosound.comAudacity is a free recording program.By recording her, she will be able to hear any notes that she may be out of pitch on. Also, singing into a microphone and recording yourself is very nerve wracking. A microphone is very unforgiving.

You will need an amplifier of some sort, your guitar amp could work but would prob not be recommended. For vocals, a P.A. system consisting of a power amp/speakers or powered mixer/speakers or even just a powered speaker itself would be recommended. The connection on your mic is XLR, you will need a cable that goes from XLR to whatever input type is on the amp you want to connect it to.

The microphone will have a male xlr connector which the female end of the mic cable will plug into, so you need to adapt the male end of the mic cable to TRS (tip, ring sleeve) so you need a female XLR to TRS as you indicated.Keep in mind that the impedance and output level of an electric guitar and microphone are different, so you may have a mismatch there, depending on your amp. If so, you’ll need a transformer like this one.http://www.zzounds.com/item–AUTCP8201

the Shure SM-58 is more suited to vocals than the SM-57. so if your just going to be singing into it go for the SM-58.if you are going to be mic-ing up guitar amps, drums and other stuff go for the SM-57.shure are a reliable brand, the 57/58 were designed in the 70’s and have stood the test of time. despite their low price it is still used by countless professionals on stage. i have a SM-57 and it’s a great mic.if you want to look at other brands of similar mics check out the link belowhttp://www.zzounds.com/cat–Handheld-Dynamic-Microphones–2835

  18. MailorderMaven says:

They didn’t need to bend down — the mike is able to pick up their voices when they stand up straight. They keep it low so it’s not right in front of shorter people’s faces. Also, if someone is too close to the mike their p sounds will pop.
