Where can I find an extension cable for a pc microphone headset?
I need to extend the length of my pc headset by about five feet. Microphone Cable I sit far away from the computer and want to use the headset, but it won't reach. I have seen plenty of extension cables for headphones, but this headset also has a microphone and I can't seem to find an extension cable which includes both jacks.

you probably need a High Z to Low Z adapter…or vice versa. go to your music store and explain the problem, they’ll solve it for you.
Assuming you are talking about the three pronged mic cable, you can go to a music supply store and buy a cable that has one end that fits your three pronged mic while the other end has a guitar-style quarter inch instrument plug like a regular guitar cable. The other option is you can by an adapter that fits on the end of your existing mic cable and converts it to a quarter inch instrument plug. This is called a “low-to-hi impedance matcher”. It is confusing.Professional microphones only use 3 pin XLR connectors and cables.Lighting is a different story and there really is no one standard connector. Some lighting units use 3 or 5 pin XLR connectors for control signals. Some use other connectors.There are adapters too.http://www.zzounds.com/cat–4057
I suppose it is possible, but you could potentially damage the equipment that way.You should purchase a proper audio mixer to handle the two mics. If you are connecting the mics to a computer, another option would be to purchase a sound card that is designed to handle multiple audio inputs and use a software based mixer instead.
