When Cable Cords arrived, I opened the package and was impressed with the solid packaging which insured Cable Cords didn’t arrive damaged in any way, shape, or form.
Overall, my experience was amazing. I hope this helps you make a solid buying decision.

okay the computer that is connected to the cable modem.Disconnect the bit that is going to your computer, and plug it into your hub. Make sure that you have it going to the main line that will get the other two connected. Above one of the points on your hub it will say something to the point of main link or uplink point. This is where this point must go for the two computers to connect.this sets up your internet for both computers. With your internet router, you will have to turn the power off from the wall and then turn it back on. This will allow the internet to flow through the router and to your pc’s. some compaines make it so that only one computer can connect to the internet at a time by restricting the MAC address. Which is the hardware address of your computer network card. turning the power on and off makes it forget which part it was connected to.the two blue cables you have left over go from the computer into the hub…. VIOLA thats all that should be two computers to connect to the internet…hopefully this is what your after
HD connections are either Component (those 5 cords, similar to composite[red/yellow/white]), or HDMI. Component is an analog signal, so the cable needs to be shielded and stuff. However, with an LCD, you’re better off going with an HDMI cable. Go online to http://www.monoprice.com and snag one for like $10. If you’re doing a cable run <12ft, the monoprice cables will be more than enough. Monster cables will cost over $100 for the same length.Even though you have an HDTV, remember your cable tv won’t be in HD unless you 1) subscribe to an HD package or have an HD antenna and 2) Use HD cables to connect the box to your television. Your DVD player will hook up just fine. There’s always RCA inputs on the back or side of the TV.
Hi Brandon!I’m a little unclear about your situation… Your netgear router keeps shutting off because of excessive electricity from your digital cable’s coaxial cable? I cannot fathom how a “splitter” would help the situation–because a splitter would affect the signal, and not the power to the router.Although there is some energy involved with the digital signals coming over the coax, the amount is miniscule–and generally not enough to cause a properly working router to go haywire. The key words here is “properly working router.”You could be looking at a power supply issue–your router might not be getting enough juice (or too much) from your power supply. Power supplies have been known to go bad, as well as routers.First–try swapping-out the power supply with another. If that doesn’t fix things, you might also want to consider swapping-out the router itself. for one that’s new (to see if that fixes things).Good luck.
from the wall to the cable box, most cables used are coaxial cables… that’s a shielded copper wire and an outer collar. it’s standard for cable and they use it for satellite television, too. the quality of the cable can affect your signal, so if you have an old cable, you might try getting a new one. getting a different cable won’t increase your subscribed cable package… everyone’s using the same cable even for high definition.
Phone your cable company and have them come out and fix it, if you do it yourself they will find out on their spot checks and fine you. I know its your house but it’s their box. Make them fix it the way you want it.
If your plasma tv does not have a built-in tuner, you must use the RCA jacks on your cable or satellite box to connect your tv.
You either need “Rabbit Ears” or an outside antenna. The cable connection won’t have any signals on it if no-one is paying for cable.
hmm.. easiest thing might be to use a cheap VCR.. i know sounds weird.. but it will a Coax IN.. and let you ouput in Component … notice i didnt say Composite.. composite is the 3 r/y/w connectors.. Component is the Single old school rca type usually just labeled Video.Or perhaps get a switch box with a cable/coax IN.. and check the outputs… and see if you have those on your tv.I would make an inventory of all the IN connections u have on your tv and work backwards..a cheap vcr might be the easiest solution.
they have a connector,i belive its called a female to female connector, you will need this and a coaxial cable wire that you can get at any electronics store.just tell the person what your doing.maybe this will cost 10.00
500s are the 3.5″ drives, all 3.5″ drives need a power supply, the motor that drives the platters is 12 volt and the USB only supplies 5voltMost of the external 2.5″ drives will run off the USB, the platter motor in those is 5 volt, but these are not available in the largest sizes like a 3.5″ is
As long as the cable is “live” and has sufficient signal strength, you can use it for internet.
go to radioshack and buy a twist on ‘F” male connector. read the side of the damaged cable and bring what you read to radio shack with you. the print on the cable should identify what type of cable you are using, mostly rg6 or rg59. you could also bring an inch sample of the cable with you if you’re not able to get any identifyable info from the side of the cable.radio shack sells what your looking for without any special tools needed. you’ll just need a good sharp razor to cut off the insulation of the cable. on the back of the connector packaging should be the dimentions of how to cut the cable for a perfect fit. it’s quite simple. the results with the radio shack connector won’t produce “professional” results, but it will definately satisfy your needs. the regular non gold connector will do just fine. don’t waste the extra money on the gold connector.—> http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=f%20twist&origkw=f%20twist&sr=1 <—good luck.
I would see if you can push the cables back into the wall. If that is not possible, then cut them short enough that you can push them back into the wall. Then put a cover plate over each one. You might have no use for cable TV in those rooms, but when you go to sell the house at some point in the future, the next owner might want it. It could be a (minor) selling point.
Not with just a cable, you will need rabbit ears or a regular outdoor antennae, and also now you will need a digital converter box if you don’t have cable to pick up anything at all because all stations will be broadcasting in digital.
An unused cable outlet poses no risk of shock or electrocution. As for cables, I would recommend a product called a “FLEX-CLIP” This product is made of PVC, and contains a single combination screw head/hex-head. If you have good quality cables (most cable companies in the US now have these). be sure the connector to the wall-plate is snug, take cable to baseboard or other object (you will need an anchor plug for drywall), and install the FLEX-CLIP.If you NEED Flex-clips, you can either ask ANY cable TV installer or MOST cable company technicians for a few. Not all technicians have installation supplies. Aim for a an installation contractor in a smaller vehicle or Van, NOT a aerial lift or construction type. Or try the electrical dept at Loews, Home Depot. They’re near the electrical tape and specialty connectors. I believe GB packages them for these stores in red and black packages.
You will need a D Link device DIR-615. connect the ethernet cable from your cable device to this new and can share the internet service via ethernet cables or via wireless.
Splitter on the main cable from the wall. One line from each port on the splitter to each tv.If you have a cable box, use the splitter after the cable output from the box then one line to each tv but you will be watching the same channel with this setup.
