This is exactly what I was looking for. Pro Stereo is awesome and was the best investment I ever made.
How do I wire up a new stereo to my 88 Corolla?
I just bought a Clarion CD deck for my 88 Corolla. There was a Hyundai deck in there but not hooked Pro Stereo up. Now that I've yanked it out I can't make out which wires are which. There are two box jacks with a total of thirteen wires, the same number of wires coming out of the new Clarion deck, but the colours don't match up at all. Any pros out there familiar with older Corollas?

The only reason you would need a deep cycle battery is if you’re going to be playing the stereo for a long time without the engine running. the only thing the battery is used for is to start the engine. Once the engine is started the alternator powers the car. So if you’re planning on sitting in a parking place with the engine off and playing your stereo you should get a deep cycle battery. If you’re just going to be driving around town playing the stereo you don’t need the deep cycle battery.as for the Optima its a gel-type battery that is maintenance free and contains no liquid. You can get a conventional lead-acid deep cycle battery for one-third the price of the Optima. Deep cycle batteries are typically marketed as RV or Marine batteries because they can sit for a long time without recharging and still have enough juice to start the RV or boat that has been sitting in storage. That’s why deep cycle batteries are good for cars that run the stereo without recharging the battery–it takes longer to ‘kill’ the battery to a point where it won’t start the car.It really depends on how you use your car as to whether or not you want to consider changing the battery. If you’ve got a 10 mm wrench you can install the battery yourself. Its really no big deal; you only need to take off the negative cable then the positive cable and undo the battery hold-downs to remove the batteryhope that helps
What’s the question?
I can think of two ways to fix this.1. Create two mono tracks and drag your stereo audio region on to them. It should split it so each one gets its own track. You can delete the other two tracks and bounce it out.2. Bounce your session out as a Summed Mono file.Hope this helps.
Bounce to disk should work alright… Use “Tweakhead” quality and “Convert after Bounce.” Give it a whirl and see how it sounds. Otherwise, you could use bus sends on all your tracks to a new stereo pair, re-record, and export the stereo file, but this is basically what the bounce to disk function does.*Edit* I just re-read your question… Oops. Shift-apple-k. That will export your file into a wav you can use. Just make sure you choose stereo interleaved, and 16/44.1 if you want to put it on a CD.
This would depend on what you are lessening at. Mono sound is mostly on phones, stereo mostly on cars and cd’s, movies on dvd and Blue Ray disc are Dolby degital or DTS. Prologic is an ealier version of dolby surround sound from 4 channel to 5 channel separating the 2 channel into three (mainly sending dialog to the center speaker). The 2 rear channel have the same sound. Dolby Digital and DTS are now common on dvd and Blue Ray adds a 7.1 sound, sound effect on movies for more realistic viewing. I prefer surround sound on all my sounds.
The humming I’m pretty sure might be a problem either with electrical grounding or cables/wires, but it is possible to get PL2 on a PL1 system. Here’s how you do it…first your receiver has to have 6 channel analog inputs for DVD audio (usually called Multi Channel Input) you have to get 3 pairs of stereo output cables where one side is a headphone plug and the other end is 2 white and red RCA audio cable connectors….you then have to connect the headphone plugs into your computer’s sound card….that’s assuming you have a sound card that has 5.1 decoding capabilities….you can buy cheap ones that do it, but I recommend Sound Blaster Audigy 2 for the best sound quality…..the RCA plugs will connect to the Multi Channel input on the receiver.Last step….download Windvd or PowerDVD software ,search for a crack serial key, then in the sound settings select pro logic 2 and voila. All of this worked for me when I did it on my receiver. If all of this is too much information to process…just message me and I can answer any questions you got about it.
You can do it, but you will have to practically stand on your head. I used to hard wire my systems to the battery. Just find a hunk of 14 or 16 gauge wire that’s long enough to reach from your head unit to the battery. My stereos were usually 25-50 watts per channel so 16 gauge wire was sufficiently heavy for the job.Grab a flashlight and run the driver’s seat all the way back. Crawl under the dash and look for a soft plug of some sort where there are wires going through your car’s fire wall already. Tape the wire onto a wire coat hanger you have straightened out and force it through the soft plug. Pop the hood and find where it came through. Snake the wire over to the battery. There should be cable clamps there holding back some wires already. After connecting the inside end of the wire to your stereo’s +12V and Memory lines connect the business end to the battery. Just loose the bolt enough to wrap the wire around it and strip about an inch and a half of insulation off your new wire. Wrap the wire around the bolt and tighten it back up. Voila! Used to do this with my CB and some auxiliary lighting as well so I didn’t have to run the engine to use them.
FirstGo to System Preferences, Sound, Input – select the source input of choice. One of the internal sources other than mic. Then, in your audio recording ap, select the same audio SOURCE as you selected above. You will probably have one of two or both of these options:1 – Stereo – left/right in one track2 – Two separate tracks, one for left channel and one for right channel.Of course from that point make sure that the recording tracks are armed – ready to record Good luck!
Its Tacky. I wouldnt put that System in.How about you tell us whats ur budget.maybe you can afford a Decent Stereo system.Ive put together Low Budget Systems before. Not extremely loud but clean sounding Full sound music.Used Items from craiglist, swapmeet, and garage sales. Now If you must stick your home stereo in your car then I would need to know more info. i use optical conection…from my pc to my surround sound reciver.. you may have to configure your sound card.
be quiet no one cares
Stereo. So is the headphone/output.
Those speakers cannot be connected to the mbox directly. Adapters will not work. What you need is what you thought you needed – an amplifier for those speakers or powered monitors (monitors with an amp built in). Anyway, you do not have to spend a fortune to get a pair of powered monitors:http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-MS16-Powered-Desktop-Monitors/dp/B000979TV0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1285940379&sr=1-1
Stereo set. Windows in general sucks, if you have problems, install linux.
