Not enough info. What “speakers” do you have?Ohms of the speakers?Number of coils per speaker?RMS watts of the speakers?RMS watts of amp at specific ohm loads?Ignore max values. Look at the RMS values for true power.More info here http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com
DTV uses the UHF channels. you need to inspect and possibly upgrade your antenna’s UHF capability. a line amplifier is not needed unless you used one for the old VHF channels previously. be sure the amplifier is rated for UHF channels, other than that, there is no special requirement for it to work for DTV. an antenna set up outside will work far better than a rabbit ear for UHF reception.
You have apparently purchased a digital to analog converter with “analog pass through,” which is common on many models. Those converters simply connect the input to the output when they are turned off. They were useful in the U.S. prior to June 2009 and they’re still useful in Canada in order to get the over-the-air (OTA) analog channels that were or are still on the air.But that box has no application with Comcast. It’s meant solely for OTA, not cable. The reason you’re seeing channels with it turned off its because of its analog pass through feature. When you turn it on, it’s looking for OTA digital channels, not digital cable channels. To get any digital channels from Comcast you need at least their DTA box (see the reference below), or a digital receiver or DVR and a subscription to a digital channel package.————-Edit: I had to reverse “OTA and “cable” in the 2nd paragraph. A senior moment. Sorry for any confusion.
yard sale, ebay, the new amps all use a D/A and A/D converters as part of the remote controls.
I did mine, and it was fine. No Problem.
What are you using for an antenna? Before you purchase any RF amplification you should read Peter Putman’s articles and check the AntennaWeb reference, to which I’ve posted links below. On the subject of RF amplification for DTV signals: if you’re using an outdoor terrestrial antenna (and hopefully you are) then I recommend that you take a look at the high-performance, ultra low-noise Type 9254 HDTV preamplifier (with the Type 9252* weatherproof masthead-mount enclosure) and Type 9255 power supply combo from Research Communications rather than purchasing your standard, run-of-the-mill RF line amplifier or distribution amplifier. *(If you’re using an indoor antenna simply omit the waterproof/weatherproof masthead enclosure.)Low-noise RF (booster) amplification should be located reasonably close to your antenna elements in order to minimize the amplification of RF noise and interference, hence the masthead-mounted enclosures. It’s important to keep in mind that using RF booster amplifiers can be a ‘double-edged sword’ particularly if you live in an above-average electromagnetically noisy environment. You may also want to consider upgrading your antenna. Again, if you are using an outdoor terrestrial antenna then you should take a look at the various off-air terrestrial TV antennas from Terrestrial Digital / Antennas Direct and other manufacturers. The optimum combination of pre/amplifier and off-air antenna, along with a good quality antenna rotor system, should provide a noticeable improvement in performance.Research Communications, Ltd. Home theater in a box speakers are not that good in quality and not very powerful. Also there is only a handful of amplifier available in the market today that are not in the high end. The only one I have seen is at Fry’s Electronic, It is an Onkyo 2 channel power amplifier. Do you have a receiver already or a home theater system? With the power amplifier you still need something before it can produce a sound, like a cd player. Hope this will help.
If they dont make it just put a search on eBay and have them email you when one becomes available.
Yes, especially with a nice little gadget like the Behringer USB Guitar (look it up). With a regular guitar (meaning one with a 1/4″ jack), you can use a piece of software like Guitar FX (look it up).
A bit much for Yahoo Answers, even if you’d mentioned what kind of digital amplifier you’re interested in.
Your problem is that you have to add something new to your system in order to get OTA (over the air via an external antenna) TV after February. That something is an ATSC tuner, which exists at the input of your new converter. Since the ATSC tuner is totally new, you have nothing at present that will operate it, so you have no choice but to select incoming digital OTA channels via the new converter–either with its own remote or on its front panel. But there’s good news: you will no longer have to change channels with your VCR–the only channel changing is done via the converter as explained above. Just connect the RF output of the converter (which should be something like analog channel 3 or 4) to the antenna input of the VCR and leave the VCR on that channel (3 or 4 in this example) permanently. You now have the same functionality that you had before, you’ve just retired your VCR remote and substituted the digital converter remote.Additional info: The downside to this configuration is that you won’t be able to record one channel on your VCR while you watch another, as before. You now must set the digital converter to whatever channel you want to record and leave it there until the recording is finished. With your configuration, there’s no way around that little annoyance.
Connect RCA cables output from cable box or TV to amp input.

How are you getting a 3 ohm load? The 225 is 400 watts @.5 ohms. into 1.
You have a nice high power stereo amplifier capable of 350 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load. You can blow out ordinary speakers if you crank it past the point where they start to distort. The power cord is similar to the ones used by many desktop computers but the wire may be a little heavier. Not a big deal if you keep your volume under control.Peavey has pretty decent online support and a number you can call if you need to talk to someone live.I’ve posted links to the main support page, owner’s manual, and contact page below.Don
Analog – Because it’s a power modifier/source.In Electronics, “Digital” is usually is referring to the way data is being communicated from one device to another. Coaxial cable is a good example of a electronic media that can use analog signals and digital. HDMI, firewire, and USB cables are examples of strictly digital signal streams. Hope this helps to get you started.
You have to connect RCA cables to phono input of receiver if it has one.
