There’s not really another option. You could try putting it in a ported box if it isn’t in one already. The only other thing I can think of would be to turn the box towards the front instead of rear-facing.

You are WAY under powering those subs. Not that that’s a bad thing.I’d be more concerned with the car on.If your total system power is 1000 watts RMS or more, you will need to:1. Upgrade the alternator to a high output alternator2. Upgrade to a heavy duty deep cycle battery3. Upgrade the “Big 3″ – that is to replace the power wire between the battery and alternator, the ground from the battery to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis with at least 1/0 AWG wire.Failure to do this will result in you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail.Here is a guide that will calculate what size alternator and power wires you need http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php?file=6d26c621A second battery is never a good idea as it’s an added strain on the alternator to charge two batteries AND supply power for the car. The ONLY time a second battery is useful is if the audio system is to be used with the car off.A cap is only good so far as the audio system isn’t trying to pull too much from the electrical system. A cap doesn’t provide more power, it’s designed to ’stiffen’ the voltage to the amp, nothing esle. If the current isn’t there, a cap won’t help. The alternator must have at least 20% more amperage power than the entire vehicle and sound system combined for a cap to be of benefit which is ironically the same requirements for an amp to be efficient. You should be able to use this Crown amplifier to drive your Yamaha Club speakers. I looked at the Yamaha website and the S115 program or RMS capacity is 500 watts while the peak power handling is 1000watts. Not a terrible job, you just unbolt the shocks and lift the car off of the air springs and high enough to get the coils in, then lower the car back down enough to bolt the shocks back in. ISTR it’s that easy – we did a number of limousines at my old shop.

My primary experience is in theatre audio, but I do occasionally work with musicians. I have encountered the singing drummer issue a few times before and unfortunately the best solution is to get either a new drummer or a new singer. If that isn’t an option, as it probably isn’t, you need to look into something that doesn’t have a very big pickup pattern. I have a feeling that the thumping is causing the cut-off to think it was involved in an accident. Try re-locating the sub-woofers. Use “Y” adapters to send the signal from the rca outputs on the mixer to both amps. Plug one Y adapter into the Left channel mixer output and run one cable to the Crown left channel input then another cable to the American Audio left channel input. Do the same for the Right channels and you’re all set.So you’ll need two of these (it doesn’t have to be this one, just some form of Y adapter that does the same thing – radio shack carries this one and also carries a cable version that has the Y built into the cable)http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103709
