This is exactly what I was looking for. Behringer Europower is awesome and was the best investment I ever made.
why is my behringer europower pmp 3000 not turning on?
Okay. i came into my garage today and my board was on. the volume to monitor 1 was very low and the monitor 2 volume was all the way down. my setup is... i have a umd? i think that is what type of cord it is called (really bione compared to regular cords) plugged into input a (on the back of the board) and no input in b so its Behringer Europower setup is mono it is on monitor mode not bridge mode meaning that input a gives 300 watts with 8 ohms the end of input a cord is plugged into my peavy 400 watt 8 ohm impedance so there shouldn't be a problem. now when i turned up monitor 1 and all i heard was the high frequencies nothing in the subwoofer (sounded like it was blown but it shouldn't be) so i turned off my board (in hopes that it will work if i reset it) then i turned it on and i saw smoke coming from the fan so i turned it back off. I then waited till the smoke cleared and i tried to turn it back on and it wont idk know why so i checked the fuse and it was not blown any ideas???? (sorry for the long description i just had to tell of everything that happened so that it can be effectivley fixed)

This really depends on what you are going to do with the amp. Are you using it for mains or monitors.I own a sound company, if you need help, email me.
I would stick with the power amp and unpowered mixer combo. There’s more room for future expansion if you do it that way. (like getting a compressor/limiter.)I’ve played a show with a Behringer Europower and it died mid set.Go into Guitar Center and talk to one of their pro audio guys. They know whats up!
First, your links only took me to the generic Website, not directly to the products?Don’t know why?No big deal, just wanted you to know.Second, I hate buying on the internet, I want to hold things first, even if it costs me a couple bucks more.It saves money in the long run, because I make less mistakes. I don’t have to return stuff, because I bought the right one the first time.When I do occasionally use the ‘net, Sweetwater in Florida is the best.I am not affiliated, but they do have the best service.They’ll talk to you on the phone, and give you the “correct” answer, not just what they want to dump today, like most ‘net stores.That head has 2×400 watt amps, probably 4 ohms min.That means if you are currently hooking up your “house” spkrs, one to a side, you are getting approximately 250-300 watts per spkr, the spec sheet doesn’t give this info.If you hook both of the house spkrs to one side, (to open the other side up for the monitors) this will cut the power to your house speakers to 200 watts ea.May or may not be a big deal. I can’t tell you that, without being there, knowing if you are already pushing you house spkrs to the max.If you are, you will notice that they clip or distort a little sooner.If you aren’t pushing the house spkrs that hard, you’ll be fine.The spec sheet I saw on the monitors, didn’t give an impedance? Too bad.They are probably 8 ohms, (that’s what MOST are)Then you can hook up 2, ONLY 2, to the other side of the amp. 99% of the amps out there will only go down to 4 ohms, per side.And Behringer is not know for healthy power supplies, so I would NEVER run one below that anyway, even it was rated to.If you found 16 ohm monitors, THEN you could hook up 4 to the one side.If you hook up too many speakers, (drop the impedance BELOW 4 ohms per side) you will overheat the Behringer, and burn up the power supply.You MUST keep each side at or above 4 ohms.I’ve tried to keep this as simple and short as possible, without leaving anything out.
You need to return the cables and get: speakon to 1/4″ cables.There are adapters for this, but it makes more sense to just get the correct cables..

Yes. It’s described as a powered mixer with up to 1200 wattsin Mono (bridged) with no amp power applied to Monitors.Should power your speakers quite nicely. Have fun.
well that amp says it can run at 2 ohms per channel.so it would work. parallel wiring the 4 ohm speakers together will get you 2 ohms on 1 channel, and parallel wiring the 8 ohm speakers to the other channel will get you 4 ohms. so you should be fine.
You can but they will not work too well. Just remember that you will not plug the speaker output of the powered mixer to the amps input – that is way too much signal for that input. You would connect an aux output or tape output to the input on the amp.
