We should be very thankful that we are born in this modern generation because of the existence of the Internet. With the Internet, every information (whether about Studio Power) or any other Studio Power can be found with ease on the Internet, with great articles like this.
Is there any way to turn off the blue Studio Power light on the power cord for the Dell Studio XPS laptop?

Go to http://www.calumetphoto.com and search for the Genesis kit. They have one and two light kits that come with your choice of umbrellas or softboxes. The prices are very reasonable based on the product. I started with two lights. Some will say you need at least two lights. Thats crap. A single light is full of options and it’s easier to learn those options THEN move on to a second light. If funds allow I think I would go ahead and get the two lights, but start with just one. There are tons of DIY reflectors that you can use in place of a second light. The other big contender for entry level strobes is the Alien Bee. Dollar for dollar they aren’t as powerful as the Genesis, but are good lights in their own right. The advantage of the Genesis units is that they come with a lightstand and umbrella/softbox so you don’t have that extra expense.
